At the beginning of Supernatural season 2, after the death of his father, Dean spends weeks under the shell of his car. He was trying desprately to repair the massive damage done to it in a collision with a semi. At one point, his brother, Sam, confronts Dean about the manner in which he is dealing with his father's death. Dean puts up a strong front, but as soon as Sam leaves Dean takes a crowbar to the trunk of the car. He puts all his strength into his weapon and brings it down upon the very car he spent so long trying to revive.

When I first saw that episode I couldn't figure out how he could do such a thing. But recent events have shown me the answer to this question. Life right now is so stressful, so painful. I keep wishing that I had something to destroy, something sturdy. I want to be able to hit it over and over again, until I have no strength left. I want something that will show all the damage I can inflict upon it. So many violent images flicker inside my mind. They urge me to release all the frustration and anger within me. I need something to destroy.
